Active Power-Decoupling Methods for Photovoltaic-Connected Applications: An Overview

چکیده

This study compares ripple port, stacked switched capacitor, and capacitive energy storage architectures for active power decoupling, comparing the number of components, performance, density, DC-link capacitor reduction, efficiency, frequency operation to highlight their main benefits drawbacks single-phase grid-connected applications. The overview reveals equivalent effective density without electrolytic capacitors, as well enhanced simplicity, durability, thereby providing capacitors an attractive power-decoupling alternative multi-stage connected applications, based on principle that its individual buffer absorb deliver tightly constraining terminal voltages, while maintaining a narrow range voltage at DC port.
